The USCG says it received a call from the crew of Majesty of the Seas cruise ship that was stating a 26-year-old crew member went overboard.
No further information has been immediately revealed.
The ship was on a 5-day voyage to Coco Cay and Nassau. Once the Coast Guard took over the search, Majesty continued on her way to Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale where she had to arrive Thursday morning, January 24, and head for her next cruise to Havana, Cuba.
Crews are searching with the CG Cutter Paul Clark, Air Station Miami MH-65 Dolphin helicopter and Air Station Miami HC-144 Ocean Sentry plane.
