Dry Dock Works Start on Silver Moon

The keel laying for Silver Moon, the 2nd of a trio of new ultra-luxury ships that Fincantieri is currently building for Silversea took place n February 14 at Ancona shipyard. The vessel is due to enter the fleet of Silversea Cruises in 2020.

Silver Moon will become a sistership of Silver Muse, which debuted in 2017, and of Silver Dawn which is due to be delivered in 2021. At 40,700 GT and with a capacity to accommodate a total of 596 passengers, Moon will maintain the spacious all-suite accommodations that are a hallmark of Silversea's experience.

The newbuild will be the tenth ship in line’s fleet. Once operating, she'll significantly raise the bar in the industry's ultra-luxury segment with a lot of enhancements to the guest experience, while satisfying the requirements for service, quality, and comfort of the most discerning travelers in the world.
