Royal Caribbean Orders 6th Oasis-Class Ship

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. announced that it had entered into an agreement with Chantiers de l’Atlantique Shipyard to order a 6th Oasis-class liner scheduled for delivery in 2023-Fall.

According to Richard D. Fain, Chairman & CEO, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., the order was "a reflection of the exceptional performance of this vessel class and the extraordinary partnership between Chantiers de l’Atlantique and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.”

Laurent Castaing, General Manager, Chantiers de l’Atlantique, said that was the 23rd cruise ship that RCL would be building at their shipyard, and they were especially proud of it. The order reflected the confidence their customer put on them, based on the exceptional quality of their long-term co-operation between the two companies and on their capacity to bring innovative solutions to meet their customer’s expectations.

The order is contingent upon financing, that is due to be completed in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2019.
