Carnival Corporation (world's largest cruise shipowner) established its position as the leader in Panama Canal transition cruises, with more vessels cruising to (partial transits) and through (full transits) Panama Canal.

A total of 6 of Carnival Corp-owned brands/subsidiaries transit completely or partially through this artificial waterway during season 2019-2020 (fall 2019 through spring 2020). This will be the 3rd full season since the canal’s expansion completed in 2016.

Collectively, the Carnival brands visiting the region (CCL-Carnival, Cunard, Holland America, P&O UK, Princess, Seabourn) have 26 vessels currently scheduled to enter canal's new/larger locks connecting the oceans Atlantic and Pacific, which is roughly 1/4 of corporation’s global fleet. During the upcoming Panama Canal season, Carnival Corporation has 70+ planned voyages with full or partial transits.
