Carnival Cruise Line announced it will roll out a change to speciality dining fleetwide. As a result, passengers will have the opportunity to book tables in advance. Once the plan is implemented, Carnival cruisers will be able to make reservations at company's speciality restaurants in advance, meaning they will not only be able to pick the dining venue but also the specific date and time.
Previously, travellers had to wait for e-mail confirmation of the requested reservations. They can now immediately lock the reservations into place via paying in full at the time of booking. Passengers will be able to cancel the reservations at any time, both before and after boarding, without penalties.
The only exception to the rule is The Chef’s Table, that will charge a US$25-per-person cancellation fee in case passengers cancel within 24 hours of the reservation. Travellers will still be able to make their speciality dining reservations onboard when available.
