The launching ceremony of the 2nd of 3 new ultra-luxury cruise ships which Fincantieri is building for Silversea, Silver Moon, took place on Thursday, August 29, at the Ancona yard. Next year, the liner will enter the fleet of the cruise line.
The official ceremony was attended, among others by Chairman of Silversea, Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, while Fincantieri was represented by Ancona Shipyard Director, Giovanni Stecconi.
The employee of the shipbuilding group, Miss Roberta Bonisiol, served as the godmother of the ceremony.
Silver Moon will be a sistership of Silver Muse, that was launched in 2017, and of Silver Dawn, scheduled for delivery in 2021. The newbuild will be the 9th ship in Silversea Cruises' fleet.
