The second of the three new expedition cruise ships from Hapag-Lloyd, Hanseatic inspiration, will be named on October 11, 2019, with an exceptional ceremony in expedition-style at Uberseebrucke (Port Hamburg).

The invited guests will be able to watch the christening ceremony of the small expedition vessel from the water. The brand new expedition class, that consists of 3 structurally identical ships for a maximum of 230 passengers, is financed by an investment from the parent company TUI Group.

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has organized a special ceremony for the naming of the HANSEATIC inspiration. The invited guests will watch the naming ceremony live from Zodiacs. Launches will be available for those who find the expedition rubber boats a little on the adventurous side. Further details of the naming ceremony are being kept as a surprise for the invited guests.

On October 14, Ulf Wolter (Hanseatic inspiration's Master / Captain) will welcome passengers aboard the sold-out inaugural cruise in Antwerp. The maiden voyage visits Guernsey (Channel Islands UK), Portimao (Portugal), Islas Cies (Spain), Casablanca Morocco and Funchal Madeira among the 9 call ports of the 15-day itinerary, which ends in Tenerife Canaries.
