Silversea recently completed its 3rd “Expedition Training Academy” which was this time held with 5 accomplished expedition guides from Silver Galapagos and 2 Academy trainers. Silversea’s pioneering Expedition Training Academy was overseen by a dedicated Director and has the aim of enriching passengers’ travels around the globe.
The month-long training started on October 5 with a 5-day Zodiac operations course that was run by Zodiac Milpro outside Annapolis MD. The team then travelled south to Fort Lauderdale FL and embarked Silver Cloud for a 19-day cruise to Callao.
Over the Academy's course, participants experienced the operations of Silver Cloud and received training on various topics to further enhance their knowledge and experience. Onboard, the team members perfected their Zodiac and seamanship skills, learned from the Expedition and shipboard teams, developed lecture presentations, and shared their approaches to operations from Silver Galapagos.
