Almost 300 artists entered the onboard singer-songwriter contest ‘Showtime’ of the German luxury river cruise brand A-ROSA Cruises. The expert judges, including representatives from SofaConcerts, TV Noir, and A-ROSA, selected the 60 entrants who are due to take part in the contest voyages on the Rhine and the Danube from April through October 2020.

The artists represent a variety of musical genres, from rock, pop, and indie to folk and R‘n’B. Each contestant will have the chance to take part in two 7-night sailings, attempting to win over the audiences at a couple of evening concerts per voyage.

The guests will then become a jury themselves and will rate the artists. The 10 semi-finalists chosen by the passengers will receive EUR 2,500 in prize money. They'll also have the opportunity to appear regularly on A-ROSA cruise ships in 2021.
