Pregnant Medevaced from P&O Ventura

One of the last missions of 2019 is where Esquadra 751 rescued a pregnant crew member from a P&O Cruises ship. The alert crew at airbase no.6, Montijo, took off at 07:20 p.m. on December 29 to the P&O Cruises ship Ventura, sailing more than 248 km northwest of Montijo.

A pregnant crew member onboard the vessel needed urgent medical assistance. Following the rescue, she was transported to no.1 Traffic Airport.

In the total of the rescue operation, 03:10 hours of flight time were carried.

The 751 Squadron "Pumas" is a helicopter squadron of the Portuguese Air Force, part of Grupo Operacional 61. It is located in Air Force Base No.6, Montijo, south of Lisbon
