CCL-Carnival Cruise Line announced various enhancements to its Onboard with You pledge to travel partners that are designed to support them during the unprecedented pause in operations fleetwide due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The enhancements include an additional bonus commission of 1% on new retail bookings made via GoCCL.com or other online booking sites until June 30. The company will maintain the current 2020 commission rates of the agencies for 2021, regardless of whether they meet the criteria for this year.
The new Onboard with You pledge builds upon Carnival’s commitment to protecting the commission of travel advisors on all fully paid bookings cancelled because of the voluntary pause in operations. CCL was the first cruise company to offer a full commission on the value of the FCC (future cruise credit), providing travel agents with the opportunity to earn commission on the original booking and compensating them for rebooking their customers using their FCC.
