Seabourn has formally introduced its first expedition-format Grand Voyage, a 94-day itinerary named “Pole to Pole: Grand Expedition,” scheduled to operate between August 17 and November 19, 2027. The sailing will be conducted aboard the purpose-built expedition vessel Seabourn Venture, charting a 20,500-nautical-mile course from the High Arctic to the Antarctic Peninsula.
Commencing with an overnight in Reykjavik and a charter flight to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, the itinerary includes extended operations in remote polar regions, with 60 days dedicated to expedition activity. The ship will call in 14 countries and territories, with operational highlights including 6 days in the Northwest Passage, 5 in Antarctica, 3 in South Georgia, 3 in the Falkland Islands, and a new 3-day landing programme on Ellesmere Island.
The sailing concludes in Ushuaia, Argentina, with a return flight to Buenos Aires. Reservations are currently available for past guests, and general sales will open on August 13, 2025.
Seabourn Venture, delivered to PC6 Polar Class specifications, is equipped for remote operations with hardware including two custom-built submarines, Zodiacs, kayaks, and a mast-mounted 4K GSS Cineflex camera. Connectivity on board is enhanced via Starlink satellite service, and interior accommodations include private verandas, heated wardrobes, and Swarovski binoculars. Guests will also benefit from a 23-member expedition team and a range of educational and leisure programming.
In addition to the 94-day voyage, a shorter 82-day segment beginning August 29 will also be offered. All guests on either option will receive a package of amenities that includes business class air, up to US$10,000 in shipboard credit, Starlink Wi-Fi, laundry service, and selected expedition activities.
This programme marks Seabourn’s most logistically complex voyage to date and reflects an evolving focus on expedition cruising within the ultra-luxury sector.
