Avalon Waterways introduces new Danube cruise ports

Along Europe's largest inland waterway - Danube River, which passes through 10 different countries, Avalon Waterways offers extraordinary experiences for its customers. One of Europe's largest river cruise companies, Avalon unveiled 5x new Danube cruise ports and 3x new European river cruise vacations for season 2021 - including Croatia (Ilok), Serbia (Golubac), Romania (Constanta), Austria (Ybbs, Hainburg).

Avalon Waterways’ new Danube itineraries for 2021 include:

  • 9-day Balkan Odyssey (Bucharest to Belgrade/land transfer to Zagreb)
  • 9-day The Danube from Croatia to the Black Sea (Zagreb/Belgrade to Bucharest)
  • 6-day The Danube from Germany to the Black Sea (Deggendorf to Bucharest).

The itineraries are ended with 2 nights in both Zagreb and Bucharest and represent the line's Danube expansion, giving guests more ports and possibilities for river cruise exploration.

All itineraries are operated by Avalon’s "Suite Ships". Each of these newbuild boats features the unique Panorama Suites - with the industry’s first Twin Balconies (Open-Air Balconies) and beds facing the outside scenery. Each Suite Ship has 2 decks full with these 19 m2-sized Panorama Suites staterooms.
