Variety Cruises restarted its Greek island program with 7-day island-hopping itineraries around the Greece's Cyclades Islands (Aegean Sea). The small cruise company restarted sailings on July 25, becoming one of the very few currently operating.

The first roundtrip took place on the 49-passenger Galileo yacht. The ship stopped at the islands Paros, Syros, Folegandros, Mykonos and Santorini. Offering sailings on the itinerary through October 22, 2021, MS Galileo departs roundtrip from homeport Piraeus-Athens.

Variety Cruises was allowed to restart passenger shipping due to its vessels' small size - the flagship (fleet's biggest boat) Variety Voyager has max passenger capacity 72. The company announced plans on adding the 34-passenger Callisto yacht for the remainder of summer 2020 season.

Greece recently announced plans to open 6 of its cruise ports to cruise ships from August 1, 2020.
