RCI-Royal Caribbean International is to start cruising from Singapore in December 2020 after the company received government approval.
Royal Caribbean is scheduled to embark on 3- and 4-night Ocean Getaway cruises onboard the Quantum of the Seas, exclusively for Singaporean residents.
The cruise line has collaborated with other lines to form the Healthy Sail Panel, a task force of medical and public health experts, in order to develop protocols to help get the cruise industry back sailing again.
RCI will be adding brand new health and safety measures, such as testing and screening as well as upgraded HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems enhancing filtration.
The company has added extra COVID protections which include a 100% credit towards a future voyage should a passenger or any member of their travel party test positive for the virus during the 3 weeks before their booked sailing; or a full refund in case a passenger, or any member of their travel party, tests positive during the voyage.
