Viking Cruises' ship Viking Orion to complete 14-day quarantine in Bermuda

Viking OCEAN's cruise ship Viking Orion anchored on Friday, May 21, to complete quarantine before homeporting in Bermuda.

According to Bermuda's transport minister Lawrence Scott, the boat would remain in Great Sound for 6 days so the 460 crew could complete their 14-day quarantine.

From Bermuda, Viking Orion will sail on 8-day itineraries visiting Hamilton, St George, King's Wharf (Royal Naval Dockyard) but the ship will be operated with a 50% reduced passenger capacity (450 tourists per voyage).

Only vaccinated passengers and crew members are allowed onboard. Tough measures will be used to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19.

Viking Orion is scheduled to arrive in Hamilton on May 27. The crew is intended to stay onboard to ready the vessel for the first 8-day Bermuda Escape cruise on June 15.

The line's Bermuda Escape cruises are expected to end on August 3.
