AIDA's ship AIDAvita was scheduled to restart service on February 19, 2022, but the company announced that the restart would not take place informing guests who have booked the voyage and sales partners about the canceling of the “Great Canary Islands Winter Break” cruise.

AIDA Cruises said that, unfortunately, they had to postpone the restart of AIDAvita to a later date.

"To our great regret, the voyage on February 19th, 2022 cannot take place as planned.”

For those who do not want to miss their vacation, the line gives an option of rebooking for another journey.

Guests on the canceled voyage will receive onboard credit of EUR 250 per person (1st and 2nd bed) in case they rebook an AIDA sailing by February 28, 2022.

With the new cancellation, the restart of AIDAvita was moved to March 31, 2022, according to AIDA's current travel plan.

A mini-cruise to Stavanger Norway will be made on that date.
