Nantucket is an island located 20 km (14 miles) south of Cape Cod, in the state of Massachusetts USA. Along with the small islands Muskeget and Tuckernuck, it forms Town of Nantucket (population around 11,000) covering a total area of approx 273 km2 (105 ml2). Nantucket Island is the southernmost settlement in the state of Massachusetts.
