Le Soleal cabins review

All MS Le Soleal staterooms (132 total – 33 suites and 99 cabins) are located forward, while all public areas are positioned aft. The accommodation section is accessible via one aft staircase and a forward elevator. Passenger capacity may vary, as many cabins are interconnecting and can form suites. The standard layout includes 24 suites and 88 cabins. There are 3 wheelchair-accessible cabins (one on each deck 3-4-5, located near the elevator). In total, there are 9 cabin categories.

Below is a review of Ponant Cruises Le Soleal staterooms, covering furniture, amenities, and complimentary services:

All Le Soleal cabins, regardless of category, feature King-size beds (convertible to twins, with bedside tables, luxury mattresses, premium bedding, and silk cushions), en suite bathrooms (single-sink vanity, glass-enclosed shower, separate WC, terry bathrobes, luxury bath products), lounge/sitting area (vanity desk, stationery, round table, armchair, mini-bar), dressing room (ample wardrobe/drawer space), smart HDTV (infotainment system, Internet, on-demand movies), hairdryer, iPod station, Wi-Fi Internet, electronic safe, lifejackets (in closet), satellite direct-dial phone, 110/220V power outlets, and individual air conditioning. Bath products are by Sothys in suites and by L’Occitane in standard cabins.

Complimentary 24-hour room service is available in all categories. The menu offers fast-food options such as burgers and fries, steaks, and salads. Bottled water is provided free of charge during shore excursions.

With the exception of the Owner’s Suite, all cabin categories feature a bathroom with a sliding panel that opens to a glass wall, offering unobstructed sea views. The largest accommodation is the Owner’s Suite (deck 6), a two-room suite with a bedroom (king bed, TV), master bathroom (Balneo bathtub, dual-sink vanity, separate WC and shower), guest bathroom (WC, sink), lounge area (double sofa bed, TV), dining area (4-seat table), and private balcony with dual access.

Prestige Suites are also two-room accommodations, each with two bathrooms (each with WC and sink; one with shower, master with bathtub), two dressing rooms, two TVs, and two mini-bars. The lounge includes a double sofa bed. These suites are created by connecting two Prestige balcony cabins (Decks 4 & 5 only) with a double-width veranda.

Deluxe Suites have bathrooms with bathtub, sink, WC, and shower. Prestige and Deluxe cabins are identical in design, differing only by deck location and price.

All Le Soleal staterooms, except Superior cabins, feature private verandas with luxury outdoor furniture (a small table and two rattan chairs). Superior staterooms have a picture window and are furnished with a wardrobe, single sofa bed, and dressing table.

Categories that include complimentary butler service in the fare are SA-Owner Suite, DS6-Deluxe Suite, and Prestige Suites (PS5 and PS6). In-room babysitting is available upon request.

Detailed cabin furniture layouts can be viewed on the Ponant Cruises Le Soleal cabin plans in the table above.

Ponant Le Soleal cruise fares are “Open Bar” inclusive, covering unlimited drinks throughout the voyage. This includes fine wines, champagnes, spirits, bottled water, soft drinks, coffee, and the in-cabin mini-bar.

Note: Until summer 2015, Ponant deals were all-inclusive (with drinks included) for the US market only. In Europe and the UK, fares included beverages only with meals (fine wines and soft drinks). An optional all-inclusive alcohol package was available at GBP 210 per person per week.
