MV Janssonius cabins review

Janssonius has a total of 82 passenger cabins accommodating 2, 3, or 4 guests. Staterooms are offered in several categories, including 6 Balcony Grand Suites (27 m2), 8 French Balcony Junior Suites (19-20 m2), and multiple Panoramic Window and Porthole Window cabins with double, triple, or quadruple occupancy. The previously planned Janssonius Suite (35 m2) is no longer offered.

Standard cabin amenities include windows (some opening), one double bed or two single beds (non-convertible), under-bed storage, bedside cabinets, wall-mounted reading lamps, LED ceiling lights, and a lounge/seating area with writing desk and chair, LCD TV, phone, WiFi Internet, refrigerator, tea/coffee maker, and binoculars. Additional amenities include a wardrobe, electronic safe (in the closet), and an en-suite bathroom with WC, single-sink vanity, shower, bath products, bathrobes, towels, and hairdryer. All accommodations feature individually controlled air conditioning.

Quadruple Porthole cabins include two portholes (small round windows), two upper Pullman beds, two fixed lower beds, and a small two-seat sofa. These cabins are primarily designed for families or small groups.

Triple Porthole cabins feature two portholes, one upper Pullman bed, two fixed lower beds, and a small two-seat sofa. Twin Porthole and Twin Window cabins include two fixed lower beds and a small two-seat sofa.

Twin Deluxe cabins are fitted with two large non-opening windows, two fixed single beds (non-convertible), a sofa, and a small bar table with an armchair positioned by the window. Superior cabins feature two large non-opening windows, one fixed double bed, and a three-seat sofa.

Junior Suites include a French Balcony (one double slide-opening window), one fixed double bed, and a window-side lounge area furnished with a bar table/armchair and sofa/coffee table. Grand Suites offer private step-out balconies.

The originally planned “Janssonius Suite” (now unavailable for booking) was designed with four windows, a three-seat sofa, one fixed double bed, a coffee table with armchairs, and a walk-in closet. Oceanwide Expeditions later removed this cabin type, retaining it only as part of the vessel’s early promotional material.
