The newbuilds Hondius and Janssonius are LR-PC6 (Lloyd’s Register Polar Class 6) vessels featuring ice-strengthened hulls.
The Janssonius deck plan includes 82 cabins for 174 passengers (maximum occupancy 196), served by a crew and staff of 76. The ship offers 5 passenger-accessible decks (4 with cabins), a single Dining Room restaurant, 3 bars and lounges, 2 sundeck areas, rigid-hulled zodiacs (inflatable motorized boats used for landings), and a forward helipad on the top deck. The vessel is not fitted with elevators or a swimming pool/Jacuzzies.
