Seabourn Ovation cabins and suites

Seabourn Ovation cabins total 302. Like all Seabourn cruise ships, Ovation is an all-suite vessel. There are 13 cabin categories in total. Of all suites, 88% have a private balcony. Handicap (wheelchair-accessible) cabins for disabled passengers are located on Decks 5, 6, 10, and 11. There are 62 connecting rooms (suites convertible into a double suite).

Seabourn Ovation suites vary in size between 75 and 200 ft2 (7 to 19 m2), depending on the category. The nautical-themed ultra-luxury suite design resembles a boutique hotel and incorporates mahogany wood, fine fabrics, marble bathrooms, spacious closets, comfortable lounge and sleeping areas, and well-stocked minibars.

The following is a review of Seabourn Ovation staterooms (suite accommodations) covering furniture, amenities, and included (complimentary) services:

Each Seabourn Ovation suite features a large lounge/living area with comfortable seating, ample storage space (large walk-in closet, plush bathrobes, slippers), and a spacious all-marble bathroom (polished stone, double sink vanity, full bathtub, separate shower, terry towels, hairdryer, luxury bath products including designer soaps). Suites also include a queen bed (most convertible to twin beds), luxury bedding sets (Egyptian cotton linens and duvets, pillow menu), dining table, writing desk, mirrored vanity table, media center (smart UHDTV with satellite reception, DVDs, CDs, radio), makeup vanity, writing desk with stationery, umbrella, world atlas, and complimentary 24-hour room service with personal suite stewardess service. Additional amenities include complimentary in-room dining (orders from all restaurants’ menus), complimentary laundry and ice service, nightly turndown service, welcome gifts (Champagne, canapés, flowers, fruits), and 110/220V power outlets.

All suites also feature a complimentary in-suite bar and mini-fridge (fully stocked with wines, spirits, bottled water, soft drinks, and beer, replenished upon request), full-length windows, and sliding doors opening to a private veranda (all-teak with lounge furniture and metal-glass railings).

• Penthouse Suites feature a 4-seat dining table, 2 TVs, and a large vanity table.
• Owner’s Suites feature a second/guest bathroom, whirlpool bathtub, pantry (wet bar), convertible sofa, and complimentary Internet.
• Wintergarden Suites feature bowed-out balconies, larger windows, a 6-seat dining table, solarium (whirlpool and daybed), 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms (one with whirlpool bathtub), guest bathroom (shower), convertible single sofa bed, 2 bars, pantry (wet bar), 3 closets, 3 TVs, and complimentary Internet.
• Signature Suites feature wall-to-wall windows and wraparound balconies.
• Grand Suites are “connecting suite” categories on Decks 8 and 9—GR-WG (Grand Wintergarden Suite on Deck 8) and GR-SS (Grand Signature Suite on Decks 8 and 9). These Seabourn Ovation cabins can be booked as combined accommodations, including suites 800 plus 802 (GR-SS 8002), 801 plus 803 (GR-SS 8013), 846 plus 848 (GR-WG 8468), 849 plus 851 (GR-WG 8491), 900 plus 902 (GR-SS 9002), and 901 plus 903 (GR-SS 9013). For example, each Grand Wintergarden Suite totals 1190 ft2 (111 m2) of interior space and features two separate balconies totaling 215 ft2 (20 m2).

The Ovation ship does not feature Seabourn’s Window Suites (rooms with a large picture window instead of a balcony).

Wheelchair-accessible cabins (for disabled passengers) are located on Deck 5 (#550), Deck 6 (#664 and #665), Deck 10 (#1012, #1023, #1025), and Deck 11 (#1132 and #1191). Each of these rooms features a roll-in shower only (except #1012, which has a bathtub) and wider doorways.

Through the company's loyalty program "Seabourn Club," Silver Level and above passengers receive free Internet (limited and unlimited packages), free phone calls (20–30–40 minutes worldwide), a complimentary spa massage, a Day Pass for the Spa Serene Area, free laundry (1 bag for every 7 days on the ship), discounted pricing on onboard alcohol purchases (premium wines and spirits), future cruise booking discounts, luggage shipping service discounts, and access to special offers and exclusive onboard events.

Seabourn shipboard smoking policy

According to Seabourn Cruises' smoking policy implemented in 2017, smoking is not allowed in any indoor venues on the ship, including cabins and cabin balconies.

• Smoking is also banned in the ships' Observation Lounge (previously allowed after 8 pm). Smoking is permitted in the Sky Bar's open-air starboard area (midship on Deck 10) and on the starboard open-air pool terrace of The Club lounge (Deck 5 aft).
• Smoking cigarettes, as well as cigars and pipes, is allowed on the open-air terrace of the Seabourn Square lounge (Deck 7 aft).
• Smoking e-cigarettes in cabins is allowed.

Seabourn passengers who do not comply with the ship's smoking policy will be charged a cleaning fee (USD 250 per day).
