Viking Sobek cabins and suites

MS Viking Sobek cruise ship is a Viking River Cruises-owned, NILE-class riverboat with a total of 41 staterooms (all categorized as suites) and a maximum passenger capacity of 82 (all double-occupancy cabins).

The ship has 4 types of staterooms, including 12 Standard Staterooms (22 m2 / 230 ft2, category B), 21 Veranda Staterooms (22 m2 / 240 ft2, category A), 6 Veranda Suites (38 m2 / 410 ft2, category AA), and 2 Explorer Suites (49 m2 / 525 ft2, category ES).

Veranda Suites and Explorer Suites are two-room accommodations featuring full-size, step-out balconies (off the living room) and a French balcony (in the bedroom).

All Viking Sobek staterooms offer the following complimentary amenities and services as standard:

Panoramic views are provided through large windows, most of which are floor-to-ceiling and open to a French balcony.

Hotel-style double beds are custom-made (Viking Explorer Bed) and queen-sized (79 x 63 inches / 200 x 160 cm), with under-bed storage for suitcases. Additional features include luxury Egyptian bedding (linens, sheets, duvets), deluxe pillows, bedside tables, and wall-mounted reading lamps. Optional twin-bed configurations (two separate lower beds) are also available, along with a sofa bed.

Each cabin includes a spacious lounge area furnished with a low table, comfortable sofa (non-sofabed), club chairs, a mirrored vanity (writing desk) with chair, and a wardrobe with wooden hangers. The en-suite bathrooms feature a glass-enclosed shower cubicle, double-sink vanity, anti-fog LED mirror, WC-toilet, under-sink storage, premium Freyja bath products, and luxury bathrobes. Slippers are provided upon request.

Additional in-cabin amenities include daily replenished bottled water, a dedicated cabin steward, twice-daily housekeeping service, a 40-inch smart HDTV (with infotainment system, satellite reception, and on-demand movies), multiple USB ports, refrigerator/mini-bar, digital safe (in the closet), telephone, hairdryer, 110/220 V power outlets, and individual air-conditioning.

The riverboat’s largest accommodations (Explorer Suites and Veranda Suites) also include bonus amenities such as two HDTVs, binoculars, a coffee machine, a complimentary beverage package (Silver Spirits), Viking Air Plus (VIP services), private airport transfers, complimentary laundry, breakfast-only room service, shoeshine service, daily replenished minibar drinks (including sparkling wine, wines, beers, and soft drinks), a daily fruit basket, and wool blankets for the balcony loungers.
