Review of Oceania Arietta deck 5 (Casino-Shops-Restaurants2)

The Upper Hall is a lounge-style social space located near the aft elevators on Deck 5. The relaxed area is furnished with comfortable seating and features a grand piano for live music and performances, making it a popular spot for impromptu concerts, casual drinks, or conversation throughout the day and evening. Served with beverages by the nearby bar Martinis, the Upper Hall functions as a gathering and relaxation spot where guests can mingle in a more intimate environment compared with larger entertainment venues.

The Boutiques are duty-free shops where guests can browse and purchase luxury goods and travel items during their voyage. These shops carry a range of merchandise such as fine jewelry, watches, perfumes and cosmetics, designer fashion, and Oceania-branded merchandise (souvenirs, gifts, convenience products). The ship's shops (managed by Harding UK) sell top brands like Chanel (fashion), Louis Vuitton (fashion), Foreo (beauty products), Sisley (skincare, makeup, fragrances, hair care products), Neal's Yard Remedies (essential oils, cosmetics, skin care products), Augustinus Bader (skincare), Beauty Thinkers (olive-based antioxidant preventative skincare creams), ready-to-wear garments, handbags, shoes and accessories by Hermes and Gucci.

Martinis is a classic cocktail lounge and bar that fits right into Oceania Cruises’ elegant yet relaxed  nightlife style. It is an intimate, sophisticated lounge focused on craft cocktails — especially martinis and other classic mixed drinks — served in a setting that feels a bit like a private club or upscale living-room bar. The Martinis is furnished with comfortable seating and often features live piano music in the evenings, creating a cozy, convivial atmosphere perfect for a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap. Guests can expect an extensive martini list with numerous variations on the theme, and bartenders are experienced in preparing both traditional classics and inventive cocktail twists.

Artist Loft is a dedicated creative enrichment space where guests can explore their artistic side in a relaxed, supportive setting. It’s part of Oceania Cruises’ onboard enrichment program and functions as a studio‑like art center. It is staffed by artists‑in‑residence who lead informal workshops in various artistic mediums such as painting with watercolors or oils, sketching, collage and other creative crafts. The art sessions are designed to welcome all skill levels (from complete beginners to more experienced artists). The materials are provided for participants to work on projects inspired by the sea, destinations, or personal themes. These classes are usually offered during sea days and may run multiple times, giving guests opportunities to learn new techniques, develop their artistic talents and create pieces they can take home as unique keepsakes from their voyage.

Casino is the ship’s designated gaming and entertainment space. The gambling lounge follows a Monte Carlo‑style casino concept, offering a mix of table games and slot machines in a stylish but relaxed setting that welcomes both experienced players and those new to gambling. Table games include blackjack, poker, and roulette, in addition to assorted slot machines. The casino staff are available to explain rules and help new players get started. Table games are usually played for cash or credits loaded on your ship account. The Casino operates only when the ship is in international waters (i.e., not while in port). Guests must be 18 years or older to enter and play. The gaming space includes a Casino Bar where players can order drinks without leaving the gaming area.

The aft-located Grand Lounge is one of the main social spaces and serves as an elegant and stylish yet relaxed bar lounge. This comfortable and stylish venue features plush seating, alcoves, and contemporary decor. The overall feel blends sophistication with a warm, welcoming vibe, making it a favourite spot for guests to unwind away from the larger entertainment venues. The Grand Lounge is served by a well‑stocked Bar offering a range of wines, spirits and cocktails, and may host wine tastings or smaller musical performances.

The Grand Dining Room is the ship’s main complimentary restaurant, providing elegant, upscale dining and emphasizing wide‑ranging international cuisine and refined service. The Grand Dining Room serves open-seating breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and also offers French-inspired dishes. The menus change daily, showcasing seasonal ingredients and global flavors. The 340-seat complimentary Grand Dining Room offers an expanded menu (with new items from Chef Pepin), daily-changing appetizers, soups, salads, and entrees.
