Review of Spirit of Discovery deck 6 (Promenade)

The Playhouse (capacity 400+ seats) is the ship’s theater (main show lounge). Passengers enter the Auditorium following a pre-show cocktail reception held at the foyer bar. Each evening there is presented a new grand-show production (by the ship’s own theatre company), as well as comedy shows (by guest entertainers), live music performances, cinema screenings.

Promenade Deck

The Club is a premium steakhouse served by its own Bar. In June 2018, Saga Cruises partnered with Jools Holland (English pianist, singer, BBC TV presenter) for "The Club by Jools" steakhouse restaurant. Through the 5-year exclusive partnership, at the Jools restaurant are performed live music and its bar is designed like a 1950s cabaret lounge. The dinner-only restaurant offers a la carte menu with classic steaks (fillet, T-bone, ribeye, tomahawk steaks), live music performances (by resident and guest musicians), specialty cocktails.

In 2025 was introduced the new specialty restaurant "La Vie en Rose at The Club" (part of The Club) which design was developed by Atlantic Marine Interiors. The menu (6 starters, 7 main dishes, 6 desserts) was created by Phil Vickery (1961-born English celebrity chef) and includes as a signature wine Cote des Roses (a rose from Languedoc). The wine's bottle was created by a Ecole Boulle designer. The venue serves classic French dishes, including Onion Soup, Escargots a la Bourguignonne (snails), Tournedos Rossini (steak), Bourride (fish stew), Sole Colbert, Duck a l'Orange, Crepes Suzette.

East to West is a specialty restaurant with Asian cuisine, offering traditional and authentic dishes. The menu is frequently changing - from classic to contemporary favorites.

Coast to Coast is Saga Cruises' signature seafood restaurant, which serves British and locally-sourced fish and seafood. The restaurant is complimentary, dinner-only and reservations are required.
