MS Viking Sekhmet (built in 2026) is part of Viking's Egypt fleet—together with Viking Ra (2018) and the sister ships Viking Osiris (2022), Viking Aton (2023), Viking Hathor (2024), Viking Sobek (2025), Viking Amun (2025), Viking Thoth (2025), Viking Ptah (2026), Viking Geb (2027), and Viking Anubis (2027).
Unlike Viking Ra (a fully reconstructed older vessel), Sekhmet’s sister ships are newbuild Nile cruisers, featuring deck layouts and venues similar to those found on Viking OCEAN ships.
Viking Sekhmet’s deck plan includes a total of 41 staterooms across 5 decks (3 with cabins), as well as a Restaurant, Bar Lounge, Foyer (lobby lounge with Reception Desk and two ship entrances—portside and starboard), Shop, Pool Deck (aft infinity pool, shaded seating at the Aquavit Terrace, indoor Bar Lounge, and Wheelhouse), and a Sun Deck (sunbathing area with shaded seating).
One lift (passenger elevator) connects all cabin decks, while all decks are also interconnected by stairs (forward, midship, and aft stairways).
Unlike most large Nile cruisers, this vessel does not feature a wellness complex, which typically includes a spa, relaxation lounge, massage treatment rooms, hair salon (hairdresser/barber services), and a fitness room (gym).
