ACL-American Cruise Lines launches first-ever California voyage (ship American Jazz)

ACL-American Cruise Lines announced it is expanding cruise offerings to California with a brand new 8-day itinerary from San Francisco beginning in 2023 onboard American Jazz.

It is the first time ever American has offered a California itinerary. 

Sailing roundtrip out of homeport San Francisco, the voyage ventures into the heart of wine country along Napa River. The new itinerary visits San Francisco, Napa, Vallejo, Stockton, Sacramento, and features scenic cruising in San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay, along Napa River and San Joaquin River.

Some of the new itinerary's highlights include sailing through the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz, and Treasure Island. San Francisco experiences include visits to Ghirardelli Square and Fisherman’s Wharf. Special experiences include a NASCAR-style driving experience at Stockton 99 Speedway and a Napa Valley Winery experience.

The voyage also includes a guided tour of Old Sacramento’s underground city and port, and a visit to the California Railroad Museum, home to 5 steam locomotives, as well as exhibits including one honoring the contribution of China to the building of the Transcontinental Railroad, and the Golden Spike which commemorated the completion of the railroad in 1869.

2023 departure dates for ACL's new 8-day "San Francisco Bay" voyages are February 17 & 24 and March 3 & 10 aboard American Jazz.
