CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's ship Carnival Splendor arrived in Sydney Harbour on Friday, September 30, and became the first to enter Australian waters with international guests in ~3 years, completing her 23-day transpacific voyage to the Australian homeport.

The liner will now restart year-round service from Sydney.

Carnival's Splendor was welcomed with an escort by P&O Australia’s Pacific Adventure prior to sailing past the Sydney Opera House and arriving at the port. The vessel is now scheduled to operate her first voyage from Sydney on October 1.

The transpacific journey of Carnival Splendor to Sydney started in Seattle WA on September 6. Passengers aboard the Carnival Journeys voyage enjoyed an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the South Pacific, with visits across the Fiji Islands and Hawaii.

Carnival Splendor’s first voyage from Sydney will take passengers on a 4-day getaway to Moreton Island. The boat will continue to offer Australian sailings year-round.
