P&O UK's newest cruise ship Arvia in final stage of completion ahead of maiden voyage

P&O UK announced that its newest shipArvia, was in the “final sprint” to completion ahead of the maiden voyage departing on December 9, 2022.

The Excel-class P&O Arvia (sistership to P&O Iona) is currently scheduled to arrive at homeport Southampton (England) on December 3, prior to the inaugural cruise (11-day roundtrip UK to Mediterranean itinerary).

On October 5, P&O UK staff, as well as media partners and 5 agents, were welcomed onboard the beautiful liner, which is being built at Meyer Werft's shipyard in Papenburg Germany.

Guided by the ship's Master (Captain Robert Camby), the VIP guests were given a tour of the Atrium, infinity pool and swim-up bar which are in the final stages of construction.

They were shown the room which will become home to P&O UK's first Escape Room (named Mission Control), as well as the restaurants, rum distillery, and Wheelhouse/Navigation Bridge.

The 5200-passenger ship has 18 decks (2610 staterooms) and is designed to sail to sunny destinations year-round and maximizes ocean views from everywhere onboard.
