CCL's Carnival Celebration ship makes first Caribbean call with visit to Grand Turk

CCL-Carnival Cruise Line’s newest flagship Carnival Celebration arrived in Grand Turk (Cockburn Town, Turks and Caicos) on Wednesday, November 23, making the liner’s first call to a Caribbean port.

Celebration is currently sailing her inaugural voyage, a special 6-day Thanksgiving cruise.

Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line said it was an honor to bring their new flagship to Grand Turk as its first Caribbean port of call and welcome guests to experience the beauty of the island.

“Grand Turk is a popular destination with our guests and I’m looking forward to Carnival Celebration making many memorable visits going forward.”

After the call at Grand Turk, Carnival Celebration continued her journey with a visit to Puerto Plata-Amber Cove (Dominicana) on Thanksgiving Day and will stop in Nassau (Bahamas, New Providence Island) on Friday, November 25, before spending Saturday, November 26, at sea and returning to PortMiami Florida on Sunday, November 27.

Carnival Celebration accommodates 6338 guests, and features 18 decks, 2641 staterooms, 20+ dining venues, a dozen bars and lounges across 6 unique zones. The top deck boasts the all-electric roller coaster BOLT: Ultimate Sea Coaster.

On Sunday, the 2nd voyage from PortMiami kicks off alternating week-long Eastern & Western Caribbean sailings.
