PONANT welcomes Le Laperouse ship into Sydney Harbour ahead of 2023 cruise season

The French ultra-luxury travel company PONANT announced the return of Le Laperouse ship to Sydney Harbour (NSW Australia) on December 15th after 3+ years.

Unveiling exceptional itineraries around the world, PONANT kickstarted the highly anticipated 2023 season with the monumental arrival of the ship into Sydney Harbour.

Among the sailings closer to home, Le Laperouse is scheduled to explore remote islands, encaptivating landscapes, and sandy beaches of the Queensland coast as well as the natural coastal wonders of Tasmania. The ship also offers immersive expeditions through the wild landscapes of the Kimberley, visits the preserved nature of the North & South Islands of New Zealand, and sails through Indonesia's ancient cultures.

On Friday, December 16th, Le Laperouse embarked on a new 8-day expedition out of Sydney to Hobart (Tasmania Australia), combining the best natural/cultural treasures of Australia's south-eastern coast.

Following this, the ship will round out the year on an 11-day 'Food, Wine and Yacht Race in Tasmania' itinerary setting sail on December 23rd where guests can enjoy the finish of the 2022 Sydney-Hobart yacht race and New Year festivities.
