TUI Cruises resumed sailings from Hong Kong after a 3-year halt, becoming the first German cruise company to do so.

TUI's ship Mein Schiff 5 arrived at Port Hong Kong as part of her "Singapore with Hong Kong" voyage on March 8th, greeted with a dragon and lion show. Deputy Commissioner for Tourism of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Wendy Chung, and General Manager, MICE & Cruise Hong Kong Tourism Board, Kenneth Wong, presented Senior Head of Port Management & Operations Marcus Puttich and Capt. Andreas Greulich with a plaque to commemorate the first call of the liner.

TUI offers several voyages with Schiff 5 from Singapore/Hong Kong in the winter of 2023-2024. On March 9th, after entry into Victoria Harbour, passengers experienced the Symphony of Lights, one of the world's largest light shows.

Schiff 5 is scheduled to embark on two unique voyages visiting Korea and Japan (out of Hong Kong) on March 29th, 2023. The liner's Asia 2023 season ends on May 10th (with the "Singapore to Dubai" relocation / RepositionCruises.com) while season 2023-2024 begins on December 20th.

Wybcke Meier (TUI's CEO) said that with the restart in Asia, they had also returned to normal in the winter travel areas.

"Our guests accepted this offer with great enthusiasm. Especially in these times, our cruises score with stable prices and excellent value for money. We are all the more pleased that we can also offer many trips from Singapore and Hong Kong in winter 2023/24."
