Ambassador Cruise Line UK's second ship Ambition/fka AIDAmira arrived at Lloyd Werft Shipyard in Bremerhaven (Germany).
The vessel (previously operated by AIDA) was acquired by Ambassador UK in 2022 and has served as a hotel ship for Ukrainian refugees at Glasgow's King George V dock since September 14, 2022.
As announced by Ambassador, Ambition will get a new livery, venue improvements, furnishing upgrades, and rebranding. The vessel will also get machinery upgrades making it IMO Tier III compliant as well as in the top 10-15% of environmentally sustainable ships worldwide.
Following the drydock, MS Ambition will be christened by godmother Shirley Robertson OBE at a ceremony in Newcastle on May 11th, 2023, ahead of her inaugural 14-night maiden voyage setting sail from Newcastle on May 12th, on the Hidden Gems of France and Spain sailing.
