Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is expanding its offerings in Europe by adding two post-cruise extensions in Greece, which are now available for booking for travel during the summer and fall.
Uniworld guests can choose from a 3-night extension to Athens or a 5-night extension to Athens/Piraeus and Santorini Island, as add-ons to Uniworld's Italian itineraries. These new Greece offerings join Uniworld's existing portfolio of pre- and post-cruise extensions, including land, rail, and customizable options.
Greece has consistently been one of the top-searched destinations on Uniworld's website, and although the cruise line does not currently sail in-destination, they want to provide their guests with the travel experiences they are looking for while maintaining the same level of quality they expect from Uniworld, according to Ellen Bettridge( Uniworld's President and CEO).
Uniworld has partnered with their sister brand Siva Travel (both part of The Travel Corporation) to bring the magic of Greece to life in these new post-cruise extensions, creating the ultimate Mediterranean travel experience that combines the iconic destinations of Milan (Genoa), Venice, Athens, and Santorini in one luxurious journey by land and water.
Uniworld's post-cruise Greece extensions include two options. Option 1 is a 3-night post-cruise extension in Athens, which offers a brief but wonderful taste of Greece's famous capital city. Guests will stay at the 5-star Divani Caravel hotel in the heart of Athens and enjoy experiences such as dinner with a local in their home, a trip up to the Parthenon, and a foodie tour of popular Greek treats. Daily breakfasts, service charges, 5-star hotel stays, flights from Venice to Athens, various walking tours, and more are all included in this extension, which is available on ten Uniworld departures beginning in June 2023.
Option 2 is a 5-night post-cruise extension that combines Athens and Santorini. Guests will split their stay between Athens and the beautiful island of Santorini, experiencing history, culture, cuisine, and awe-inspiring sights. Activities include sampling local fare, a Santorini village tour and wine tasting, a cruise around Santorini's caldera, and an Athens City Tour. Daily breakfasts, two other meals, service charges, 5-star hotel stays, flights from Venice to Athens and Athens to Santorini, various guides/tours, and more are all included in this extension, which is available on nine Uniworld departures beginning in June 2023.
