P&O Cruises UK has introduced dedicated family zones on its 5 family-friendly ships during the 2023 summer holiday season. Passengers on P&O's newest and largest vessels - Arvia, Iona, Britannia, Azura and Ventura, can now enjoy specially designated areas filled with toys and activities for children.
In collaboration with Harding+, the retail spaces on Arvia and Iona will feature an array of new children's brands such as Barbie, Hot Wheels Cars, and Keycraft Pocket Money Toys. These new additions will join the existing family favorites available on board, including Lego, Jellycat, and TY Plush Toys.
For those seeking to capture unique holiday moments, Arvia and Iona will provide fantastic "instagrammable" opportunities, like a life-size Barbie box for fun photos. Additionally, families can indulge in dressing up as their favorite characters with a range of fancy-dress costumes from Rubies Masquerade UK.
The family zones on all five ships will also offer artistic pursuits, such as coloring competitions suitable for both children and adults.
The newest ship, Arvia, has some exciting features for families, including a children's splash pad, a tropical-island-themed mini-golf course, a thrilling high-ropes experience, and Mission Control - an immersive escape room set on a fictional submarine.
Furthermore, P&O UK has partnered with Aardman, the creators of Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep, to provide character-based activities for all generations on their family-friendly ships. Among these offerings is the first at-sea Wallace & Gromit show called "All Hands on Deck!" on Arvia, as well as modeling and craft workshops, and screenings of Aardman films.
