The UK-based Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has unveiled a revised itinerary for its 82-night Grand Voyage to the islands of southwest Asia scheduled for MS Balmoral.

The "Idyllic Islands and Captivating Cultures of Asia" itinerary offers guests an opportunity to explore ancient civilizations and discover the diverse islands of the continent.

Martin Lister (Fred Olsen's Head of Itinerary Planning and Destination Experience) highlighted the exciting additions to the Grand Voyage, featuring picturesque ports and unique experiences. The revised itinerary includes calls to Weh Island in Indonesia, Phuket in Thailand, Palawan in the Philippines, and Borneo in Malaysia.

Leaving in January 2025, the Grand Voyage offers memorable excursions such as boat trips to Thailand's Phang Nga Bay and sunset cruises in the Phi Phi Islands. These experiences provide views of limestone rocks, hidden tunnels, sea caves, mangrove forests, and fishing villages.

Busuanga Island (Calamian Group, Palawan, Philippines) with its UNESCO Site "Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park" adds to the voyage's exceptional natural beauty. The visit to Mumbai India coincides with the Holi Festival, transforming India into a colorful canvas.

In response to the ongoing conflict, the cruise has replaced Israeli ports with stops in Limassol Cyprus and Rhodes Island Greece.

Despite the removal of Israeli ports, the revised itinerary promises an adventurous and culturally rich journey for guests seeking a unique exploration of Asia's captivating islands.
