Costa Firenze concludes farewell voyage, set to transform into Carnival Firenze

On January 21, 2024, Costa Firenze concluded her final voyage with Costa Cruises, a two-week Mediterranean and Canary Islands cruise that concluded in Savona. The ship is now headed to Cadiz, Spain, for dry-dock at Navantia shipyard, marking the beginning of her transition to Carnival Firenze.

Carnival Firenze will join CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's growing fleet, with an official launch scheduled for April 25, 2024, at Port Long Beach/Los Angeles CA. This transition follows the footsteps of the sistership Costa Venezia (now Carnival Venezia) under the "Costa by Carnival" initiative, aimed at optimizing operational efficiency within the Carnival Corporation.

Despite the rebranding, the unique Italian design of Costa Firenze will be preserved during her conversion to Carnival Firenze.

CCL is actively promoting both sisterships as part of its "Carnival Fun Italian Style" experience.
