The NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line ship Norwegian Joy has concluded a 3-week dry dock at Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam/Holland, unveiling new venues and a refreshed appearance. The ship underwent comprehensive enhancements, including the introduction of a new Mandara Spa wellness area and improvements to The Haven suite area, along with updated design and decor in various public spaces.

A notable addition is the new Mandara Spa wellness area, offering guests a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation. The inclusion of the Thermal Suite, the largest among the Breakaway-Plus class ships, represents a significant milestone in the ship's development. In response to guest feedback and to expand accommodation options, the ship has integrated 24 new balcony staterooms, utilizing space from the Observation Lounge. Furthermore, 40 new spa balcony staterooms have been introduced, providing direct access to the Mandara Spa and Thermal Suite, enhancing the onboard relaxation experience. The expansion of The Haven by Norwegian Premier Owner's Suites to include 3-bedroom options caters to travelers seeking luxurious amenities and personalized service.

For guests desiring exclusive adult-oriented experiences, the Vibe Beach Club has been expanded, taking over the existing Laser Tag Arena. Featuring a layout reminiscent of its counterparts on Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Bliss, the enhanced Vibe Beach Club now offers new private luxe cabanas, delivering a premium retreat experience.

Following the completion of her drydocking, the Norwegian Joy welcomed her first guests on board on February 13, 2024, embarking on a 10-day voyage across the Atlantic from Southampton to Miami. The ship is scheduled to embark on 6 Caribbean cruises until the end of March 2024, after which will reposition to her new homeport, New York City, for the 2024 summer season.
