MSC Group's Cruise Division, comprising MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys, has confirmed the continuation of its Global Partnership with Formula 1 through 2030.
The announcement formalizes an early renewal of the alliance, which originally commenced in 2022. The extension underscores a mutual commitment to advancing innovation, delivering high-calibre experiences, and connecting audiences through premium travel and global sporting entertainment.
Under the renewed terms, the partnership will maintain its current scope, which includes race title sponsorships, prominent trackside visibility, and a suite of hospitality initiatives. In addition, Explora Journeys, a sister brand to MSC Cruises, will remain featured across selected Formula 1 events via signage and integrated promotional activities.
Coinciding with the FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAND PRIX DE MONACO 2025, Explora Journeys will introduce a distinctive activation involving its newest ship EXPLORA II. Moored in Monaco’s Port Hercule, the ship will function as a floating luxury hotel, hosting guests in close proximity to the circuit. Positioned as a visual centerpiece amidst one of Formula 1’s most renowned street races, EXPLORA II will provide a vantage point for observing the event and serve as the venue for a curated series of exclusive onboard gatherings.
Throughout the renewed partnership, both MSC and Formula 1 will collaborate to curate immersive experiences for guests and fans, reinforcing the maritime brand’s role within the global motorsport landscape.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, remarked that the early renewal of the partnership reflects the depth of alignment between the two organisations. He noted that their shared emphasis on innovation, entertainment, and elite hospitality will be prominently demonstrated in Monaco, where EXPLORA II will occupy a central role in the Grand Prix festivities.
