Star Cruises has confirmed the launch of six exclusive short cruises aboard the Star Voyager, set to depart Friday evenings from Ocean Terminal in Hong Kong during the autumn of 2025. These 2-night sailings are roundtrip weekend itineraries to Xiamen, designed to provide passengers with a condensed yet immersive coastal voyage.

The itineraries are scheduled for 19 and 26 September; 3, 17, and 31 October; and 14 November 2025. The voyages will depart at 20:00 on Friday and return by 14:00 on Sunday, structured to suit the schedules of travellers seeking a brief getaway without extending time away from regular commitments. These sailings will supersede the previously announced Weekend High Seas Cruises on the same dates.

The cruise line has positioned this offering as a strategic addition to its seasonal programming, with the president of StarDream Cruises, Michael Goh, noting that the route intends to combine convenience, comfort, and exploratory value. According to Goh, the weekend voyage provides an opportunity for guests to experience Xiamen's coastline and cultural attractions without the need for extended travel time or airport transits.

Upon arrival after an overnight transit, guests will have the day in Xiamen, a city known for its coastal scenery and historical sites. Key highlights include Gulangyu Island—a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its preserved colonial-era architecture and pedestrian-only layout—Nanputuo Temple, and Zhongshan Road, a pedestrian thoroughfare known for local cuisine and traditional goods.

The Star Voyager will offer standard onboard amenities including specialty dining, live entertainment, spa services, and viewing lounges. The voyage is positioned to serve both leisure and cultural interests within a compact timeframe.

Bookings for these limited-capacity voyages will open on August 5, 2025. Promotional fares start at HK$1,300 per guest (twin-share basis), with an early booking offer available through 15 September. Further details are provided on the cruise operator’s website.
