NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest vessel, Norwegian Aqua, has arrived at homeport Miami (Florida USA), signalling the beginning of its Caribbean deployment.
Following her inaugural Bermuda season from NYC (New York), the ship will now operate 7-day Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries until April 2026. Ports of call include Puerto Plata (Dominicana), St Thomas USVI, Tortola BVI, and NCL's private island, Great Stirrup Cay.
By late 2025, Great Stirrup Cay will feature a new pier, a 28,000-ft2 heated resort pool with swim-up bars, and a dedicated children’s splash area. The ship will return to Miami for the 2026–2027 season, during which guests will be able to experience the island’s upcoming Great Tides Waterpark, scheduled to open in summer 2026.
At 10% larger than sister ships Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, Norwegian Aqua offers an expanded range of onboard experiences. Highlights include the Aqua Slidecoaster, a hybrid waterslide and rollercoaster spanning three decks; the Glow Court, an LED-equipped digital sports arena that transforms into an evening venue; and the Aqua Game Zone, a family arcade featuring both virtual reality and classic games.
The ship’s design caters equally to active travellers and those seeking relaxation. Facilities include The Stadium outdoor activity zone, The Drop ten-storey dry slide, and the adults-only Vibe Beach Club. The Mandara Spa and Salon provides thermal and wellness experiences, while the enlarged pool deck offers additional daybeds and lounging space.
Dining and entertainment options encompass 17 restaurants, 18 bars and lounges, and a diverse lineup of productions such as Revolution: A Celebration of Prince and Elements: The World Expanded. Norwegian Cruise Line continues to offer its all-inclusive packages, which include premium beverages, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, and shore excursion credits.
Fares for Norwegian Aqua’s sailings start at US$249 per person for short Bahamas itineraries and US$499 for weeklong Caribbean voyages, with promotional rates offering 70% off for second guests on select departures.
