Celebrity Edge has begun her third season in Australasian waters, offering travelers a refined and immersive passage through some of the region’s most remarkable destinations across Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.
Having completed a 19-night Transpacific crossing from Honolulu, the vessel made port in Sydney NSW on the morning of October 20th, 2025, to commence a series of sailings that will continue through April 2026. Over the course of the season, she will operate 17 voyages departing from Sydney and Auckland, ranging from short 4-night cruises to extended 14-night journeys. The opening voyage—a journey of 11 nights to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef—sets the tone for a season defined by discovery and coastal grandeur.
Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, remarked that Celebrity Edge’s outward-facing design had transformed expectations within the cruise industry, positioning the vessel as one that delivers not only premium travel but also enrichment through cultural and culinary experiences. She noted that the ship’s return to Australasian waters for a third season underscores the company’s commitment to providing immersive exploration throughout this unique region.
This season offers expanded access to New Zealand, with 7 itineraries dedicated entirely to its dramatic landscapes. Among them, a 13-night Holiday Cruise stands out, promising travelers an opportunity to celebrate the festive season amid the fjords of Milford, Doubtful, and Dusky Sounds, alongside visits to 7 ports across both islands. Another highlight of the schedule is the 9-night Australia Wine Journey, tracing the eastern and southern coasts and including visits to vineyards in Hobart, Kangaroo Island, Adelaide, and Melbourne. For the 2025–2026 season, 54 new shore excursions have been introduced, including new offerings in Newcastle—where the ship will make its inaugural call in December. These experiences include a coastal sculpture walk paired with a wine tasting and luncheon, blending art, leisure, and local flavor.
In Wellington, a newly developed wellness excursion allows guests to unwind in rural serenity. After a short drive to Mangaroa Farm, participants are guided through the gardens by local experts before taking part in yoga beside the native bush and streams, concluding with refreshments made from fresh, homegrown ingredients.
On board, Celebrity Edge continues to embody modern maritime luxury with 29 dining and lounge venues, a full suite of 120+ spa treatments, and theatrical productions of international caliber. The Magic Carpet—a cantilevered, floating platform at sea—extends over the water, offering a unique venue for dining and relaxation. The Infinite Veranda staterooms, another hallmark of the ship’s design, provide expanded living space and uninterrupted ocean views.
Celebrity Solstice will arrive in Sydney the following day, marking the first instance of consecutive port days by Celebrity Cruises in the harbour. Solstice will return in April 2026 following a comprehensive US$250 million modernization under the Solstice Series program, which introduces new venues, refreshed accommodations, and expanded entertainment spaces. She is slated to rejoin the region’s fleet in the following season with itineraries spanning the best of New Zealand, Australia’s renowned wine regions, and the South Pacific.
