Celebrity Solstice Deck Plan Changes / Refurbishments Review

Drydock 2026

In 2025, Celebrity Cruises announced a major fleet modernization program, allocating over USD 250 million to upgrade the Solstice-class ships. The project begins with Celebrity Solstice in March 2026, followed by her sisterships Equinox, Eclipse, Silhouette, and Reflection.

The refurbishments will introduce new venues and upgrade existing spaces.

New venues include the Boulevard Lounge (a cabaret-style entertainment venue) and the adjacent Boulevard Bar; the Celebrity Barcade (a sports bar with arcade machines and group games like billiards and darts); Trattoria Rossa (an Italian restaurant); and Fine Cut Steakhouse (featured on EDGE-class ships).

Outdoor enhancements include the new Sunset Park—a large open-air recreation area and sundeck with cocktails, lawn games, live music, private cabanas, and an expanded Sunset Bar.

All staterooms will be upgraded, and new cabin categories will be introduced. AquaClass cabins will be enhanced with spa-inspired amenities such as massaging shower heads, aromatherapy diffusers, in-room yoga mats, and an expanded pillow menu. New accommodation categories include: Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite, Deluxe Panoramic Oceanview Suite, Panoramic Ocean View Suite, and Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View.

The Retreat (Celebrity’s exclusive adults-only sundeck) will feature upgraded suites, a new sundeck with outdoor seating and a hot tub, and a redesigned Retreat Lounge.

Other extensively refurbished venues include Café al Bacio, Cellar Masters, World Class Bar, Martini Bar, Pool Bar, Passport Bar, the exclusive restaurants Blu (for AquaClass guests) and Luminae (for The Retreat), as well as the Fitness Center and Camp at Sea (kids program).

Drydock 2016

The ship’s 2016 refurbishment (11-day drydock, October 22 - November 1) included the following updates:

Celebrity Solstice became the first Solstice-class ship to feature an outdoor movie screen, located on Deck 15 in the Patio area.

The “Taste of Film” experience was introduced on the Lawn Club (Deck 15). Alcove-style cabanas line the real grass lawn to offer additional seating for this multi-sensory video experience.

Sushi on Five (formerly Bistro on Five on Entertainment Deck 5) debuted a new menu curated by sushi chef Yoshikazu “Yoshi” Okada. Offerings include hand-rolled sushi, fresh tableside grated wasabi, house-made soy sauce, Asian-inspired cocktails, Japanese beers, and sakes.

A new photo gallery with 25 touchscreen kiosks was added, allowing guests to download purchased photos directly to their mobile devices.

The former photo gallery space on Deck 5 was transformed into an art gallery.

All suites received new patio furniture on their private balconies.
