Celebrity Edge deck plans
Deck layouts, review of facilities, activities, amenities
Celebrity Edge deck plan review at CruiseMapper provides newest cruise deck plans (2025-2026-2027 valid floor layouts of the vessel) extracted from the officially issued by Celebrity Cruises deckplan pdf (printable version).
Each of the Celebrity Edge cruise ship deck plans are conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and detailed review of all the deck's venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides an extensive information on Celebrity Edge staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans and amenities by room type and category.
Celebrity Edge (2018-built, last refurbished in October 2023) is the first of five "EDGE-class" Celebrity Cruises ships, followed by sisterships Celebrity Apex (2021), Celebrity Beyond (2022), Celebrity Ascent (2023), and Celebrity Xcel (2025).
Celebrity Edge deck plans show a total of 1,467 staterooms for 2,918 passengers (maximum capacity 3,521), served by 1,320 crew members (726 crew cabins). Of all staterooms: 81% are Balcony, 10% Oceanview, and 9% Inside. There are 1,305 cabins accommodating triple or quad occupancy, 178 connecting cabins, and 25 wheelchair-accessible cabins.
The ship has 15 decks, of which 14 are passenger-accessible and 10 contain staterooms.
The new "Infinite Veranda" cabins are 23% larger, and their bathrooms are 10% larger compared to Solstice-Class balcony cabins. In-cabin automation allows guests to control virtually everything—lighting, window shades, temperature, media, and room service—via touchscreen technology.
Other Celebrity Edge deck plan features include:
- Two-level Atrium stairway overlooking a terrace with a 3-ft (1 m) deep plunge pool.
- Pool Deck 14 (midship) is a resort-style outdoor space with a lap pool, chaise loungers facing the sea, a large LED screen, and six cabanas. At night, the pool deck transforms into an outdoor party area with live music and movies.
- The six spacious cabanas on Pool Deck 14 are lined up along the starboard side and feature comfortable seating, high ceilings, and stunning sea views.
- Rooftop Garden (Deck 15) is an ultra-modern outdoor lounge with live greenery, comfortable seating, exotic lighting, live plants, a large LED screen for evening movies, and panoramic ocean views. At night, the area transforms into a reservations-only lounge with live music, dinner pairings, and film screenings.
- Retreat Lounge and Retreat Sundeck—both adults-only areas.
- "Luminae at The Retreat" is a specialty restaurant spanning two levels with floor-to-ceiling windows. The menu is curated by Michelin-starred Chef Cornelius Gallagher.
- The Solarium is another age-restricted (adults-only) retreat.
- The pool deck includes one lap pool (23 m / 75 ft), two whirlpools, and a two-deck Walking-Jogging Track (400 m / 1,320 ft).
Celebrity Edge offers a “frictionless arrival” check-in service, utilizing geo-fenced beacons and facial recognition software. Guests can access their staterooms via smartphones through Celebrity’s "Virtual Concierge" app, which also allows in-cabin control of lighting, air conditioning, curtains, alarm clock, and media.
The "Virtual Concierge" app additionally enables onboard reservations and bookings (dining, spa, classes, etc.), as well as in-room ordering (food, drinks, laundry, etc.). The app’s digital map enhances navigation using the phone’s location sensors.
Onboard guest movement is supported by 12 elevators and four stairway clusters.
The ship has four main dining venues (each with a capacity of 360 seats), sharing a common base menu with unique dishes at each. Suite guests dine exclusively at "Luminae at The Retreat", and AquaClass passengers have exclusive access to "Blu". New venues include the raw food bar "Raw on 5", the cantilevered "Magic Carpet" (a bar-lounge-restaurant), and the multi-purpose "Eden" (bar-lounge-restaurant). "Le Grand Bistro" (located in the Atrium) offers French cuisine.
Other dining venues include Cosmopolitan, Normandie, Cyprus, Tuscan, and Fine Cut Steakhouse. The "Rooftop Garden Grill" is also featured on all new Celebrity ships. Popular bars include Eden Bar, Martini Bar, Sunset Bar, and Pool Bar.
Magic Carpet ("outdoor elevator lounge")
A standout feature of Celebrity Edge is the Magic Carpet—a glass-enclosed, cantilevered platform the size of a tennis court that traverses 14 decks like a large elevator. Mounted on the starboard side, this open-air venue offers ocean views, comfortable seating, a full bar, and a stage for live performances. Its function and location vary as it moves from Deck 2 to Deck 16.
Passengers cannot ride the Magic Carpet while it is moving. Once it is locked in place at a deck, guests may board. Some of the lounge furniture is fixed for safety.
The Magic Carpet transforms into different venues based on its location:
- Deck 16 (above the pool deck): Becomes a specialty restaurant offering "Dinner on the Edge"—al fresco dining under the stars.
- Resort Deck 14 (in front of the cabanas): Serves as an extension of the pool deck with live music performances.
- Dining Deck 5: Functions as an alfresco dining area attached to the ship’s main dining room.
- Tendering Deck 2: Acts as an extension of the Destination Gateway embarkation area, supporting tender operations via "Edge Launches"—luxury passenger boats. The Destination Gateway includes air-conditioned seating for 130, large LCD screens, and displays destination and itinerary highlights.
"Destination Gateway" is the designated embarkation point when the Magic Carpet is positioned at its lowest level (Deck 2).
The Magic Carpet's daily repositioning schedule is published onboard.
