Note: Celebrity iLounge was an Internet computer room open 24 hours, served by dedicated staff providing assistance daily (between 9 am - 5 pm) and in the evenings (between 7-9 pm). At the lounge, guests can buy Apple computers and are offered consultations and computer classes. The Celebrity iLounge is an onboard venue functioning as a combination internet café and digital activity space. It is equipped with Macintosh-based workstations where guests can access the internet, check email and print boarding passes, and it also includes a retail area that has been authorized as an Apple reseller at sea offering Apple computers, iPods and accessories for sale. The space was originally introduced as part of Celebrity’s Celebrity Life enrichment offerings with certified staff providing assistance and digital classes on topics such as photo editing and other computer skills, and a large screen has been used for presentations and instruction. Internet access and computer use in the iLounge are subject to Celebrity’s onboard internet packages, and although the lounge is available as part of the ship’s public spaces, practical usage and offerings have evolved over time with emphasis on connectivity and occasional digital learning activities. Access and use are included in the cruise environment but internet service and some classes may incur additional charges.
