National Geographic–Lindblad Expeditions has announced its 2027–2028 global deployment, offering an extensive program of expeditions across all seven continents aboard its expedition fleet. Continuing the partnership’s tradition of scientific exploration and cultural discovery, the new season features an array of fresh itineraries alongside returning favorites, guided by teams of naturalists, historians, scientists, and National Geographic experts.
Among the highlights is a voyage designed around the August 2027 solar eclipse, with guests positioned in the Strait of Gibraltar on the "Azores to Barcelona: A Special Solar Eclipse Voyage". The sailing emphasizes astrotourism and natural phenomena, providing an opportunity to observe the eclipse at sea under expert interpretation.
The line will also expand its Arctic program, introducing Baffin Island: Exploring Canada’s Wild Arctic Frontier and reviving Fabled Lands of the North: Greenland to Newfoundland, offering extended opportunities to encounter polar wildlife and witness Arctic light in both spring and summer.
Elsewhere, National Geographic Orion and National Geographic Endurance will explore Europe’s Atlantic coastlines through itineraries connecting Spain, Portugal, Morocco, France, and Norway. The tall ship Sea Cloud II will operate a sailing journey through Malta, Sicily, and Greece, tracing the Ionian Sea’s maritime routes.
The program will also see the return of two longer expeditions—Exploring Patagonia’s National Parks from Punta Arenas to Puerto Montt and Fiji and Tahiti Adventure: Vibrant Reefs and Cultural History—each highlighting regional ecosystems and traditions.
Across its portfolio, National Geographic–Lindblad Expeditions maintains its focus on immersive, sustainable exploration that deepens travelers’ understanding of wildlife, wilderness, and the communities that call these regions home.
