In the latest dispatch to those booked aboard its vessels, CCL-Carnival Cruise Line outlined an adjustment to charges that will shape the accounts of future voyages. The company advised that from April 2nd, 2026, the daily gratuity guidelines applied to passengers will be raised by one dollar for all cabin categories, and the tariff on the Bottomless Bubbles non-alcoholic beverage package for adults will be altered to a higher rate, while the cost for younger passengers will remain untouched. Travellers who settle these charges before the new rates take effect will have the existing amounts preserved for their sailings.
Under the revised structure, a sailor in a standard cabin will see the daily gratuity guideline rise to 17 dollars from 16, and a suite occupant will pay 19 in place of 18. The change equates to marginal percentage increases but will accrue over the length of extended passages.
The Bottomless Bubbles package, a ubiquitous indulgence for soft drinks aboard ship, will see its adult daily rate ascend to US$11.99 from US$9.50, subject to the customary service charge, while the rate for children 17 and younger stays at the existing figure. Those who intend to pre-purchase either gratuities or the beverage package on their reservations by April 1st will retain the present pricing.
Carnival’s communiqué stressed the procedural nature of these adjustments, noting the effective date and the option to prepay, rather than framing it as a matter of debate or emotion.
