In advance of the 2026 sailing season, MSC Cruises announced a suite of new entertainment programming that incorporates advanced robotic technology alongside expanded live and interactive offerings fleetwide.
As part of what the line describes as a refreshed entertainment strategy, artificial-intelligence-powered robotic dogs developed with Unitree Robotics, accompanied by humanoid robots, were being piloted aboard one of the company’s vessels operating in Asia and are scheduled to appear on additional sailings, including segments of the 2026 World Cruise. These robotic units are slated to take part in programmed meet-and-greet appearances, parade elements, and interactive workshops aimed at introducing younger passengers to concepts in robotics and related technologies while integrated into established event spaces such as family disco evenings.
Alongside the robotics initiative, the expanded entertainment lineup encompasses original game show formats themed around music and trivia, refreshed signature parties with updated music and staging, and a broader array of live musical performances and theater productions scheduled across many of MSC’s vessels, reflecting an effort to appeal to a range of age groups on board.
This move toward technology-infused programming is positioned as part of MSC Cruises’ broader evolution of life aboard its ships in 2026, complementing established family-oriented parades and educational activities with next-generation elements and novel forms of interactive leisure at sea.
