CCL-Carnival Cruise Line expands Express Dining program across its fleet

CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has introduced a new onboard dining option known as Express Dining, designed to provide passengers with a faster evening meal service while maintaining the quality and presentation associated with the company’s main dining rooms.

The programme has already been introduced on 15 ships and is scheduled to be implemented across the entire fleet by the end of May. Offered each evening in the main dining room, the service provides a multi-course dinner that is prepared fresh and served in less than an hour for parties of up to six guests.

Company president Christine Duffy indicated that the initiative had been developed in response to passenger feedback requesting greater flexibility in how time is spent onboard. She noted that a pilot phase of the programme received positive responses from guests, which encouraged the cruise line to expand the concept across additional vessels. According to the company, the goal is to maintain the same level of cuisine and attentive service associated with the traditional dining experience while allowing passengers to allocate more time to other onboard activities.

Express Dining is intended to complement the existing dining format rather than replace it. Guests may continue to choose between the standard, more leisurely meal service or the accelerated option, which follows a similar menu structure but with a slightly reduced selection of dishes. The cruise line also confirmed that dietary requests and special meal requirements will continue to be accommodated.

Passengers who have selected the cruise line’s flexible dining arrangement, known as Carnival HUB App Your Time Dining, can opt into Express Dining through the cruise line’s mobile application.

The introduction of Express Dining forms part of a broader initiative by the company to provide passengers with a wider range of food and beverage options and greater flexibility in how they plan their onboard experience. Another recent addition, Family Express service on the Lido Deck, was initially tested on Carnival Vista and later expanded throughout the fleet after receiving strong guest feedback.
