The cruise ship Carnival Pride resumed service from Baltimore on April 9th following a scheduled 22-day dry dock carried out in Freeport, Grand Bahama. The shipyard stay included a series of refurbishment works and routine technical maintenance intended to refresh several passenger areas on board.
Among the spaces receiving attention during the refit was the ship’s casino, where the gaming floor underwent a refurbishment that introduced updated decorative elements and refreshed interior styling. Retail venues were also improved as part of the project, including the onboard Effy Jewelry boutique, which was renewed with updated displays and a revised presentation of its fine-jewelry selection.
With the dry dock completed, Carnival Pride has resumed its year-round deployment from Baltimore. The vessel will operate a schedule that includes 7-day cruises to destinations in the Bahamas and Bermuda, together with selected sailings in the Carnival Journeys program that explore less frequently visited ports.
The itineraries also feature calls at Celebration Key on Grand Bahama, a new private destination developed for guests sailing with the cruise line. Following its return to service, the ship departed on a Caribbean voyage that included several regional ports before continuing its regular schedule from the Maryland homeport.
The recent shipyard visit represents the latest in a series of periodic maintenance and upgrade projects carried out across the fleet, aimed at maintaining operational standards while introducing incremental improvements to the onboard passenger experience.
